A virtual fall gathering will help researchers listen to the voices of older adults with care needs.
The LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston will join several partners in hosting the Sages’ Symposium to Expand Research Readiness on Oct. 26-28. The virtual event will take place on Zoom beginning at 12:30 p.m., each day.
The Sages’ Symposium is designed to bring together older adults and researchers so they can learn from each other and advance new ideas for research and partnership.
The symposium is supported by a grant from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). In addition to the LTSS Center, partners in the project include CJE SeniorLife, a LeadingAge member in Chicago, and Collective Insight, a Massachusetts-based consulting firm.
Join the symposium to:
- Address obstacles that stand in the way of participatory research with older adults.
- Discuss how to engage older adults from diverse backgrounds and with different functional abilities.
- Identify new research ideas and funding opportunities.
- Share tools that make engaged research easier.
“This virtual event aligns with the LTSS Center’s priority to support consumer engagement in health system research, innovation, and transformation,” says Marc Cohen, LTSS Center co-director. “The symposium builds on the center’s prior work in this area.”
Registration for the symposium is free, but required. Visit the symposium website for more information.
