The 2022-2023 class of Mel King Fellows will focus on equity in long-term services and supports.
Marc Cohen, co-director of the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston, has been appointed to the Mel King Community Fellows Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Community Innovators Lab. The 2022-2023 class of Mel King Fellows will focus on “centering equity in long-term care.”
The MIT program brings together recognized policy and advocacy leaders from across the country to strengthen the link between practice-based, on-the-ground knowledge and academic research. Cohen’s research focuses on state and federal initiatives for financing long-term services and supports.
“I look forward to joining these conversations and considering innovative strategies, both nationally and internationally,” Cohen says. “The hope is that we can provide policymakers with information and ideas to take back to their states.”
