Members of LeadingAge’s new Leaders of Color (LoC) Network will gather virtually on Friday, April 8 to explore how leaders of color can become influencers in the field of long-term services and supports (LTSS).
The LoC Network is a professional networking group for senior, mid-level, and emerging leaders of color employed by LeadingAge member organizations. The network is designed to support and facilitate career advancement in the LTSS field, and to provide a forum where leaders can exchange resources and ideas and share challenges and success stories related to work-related issues around race and racism.
During the April 8 event, a panel of four leaders of color will discuss their LTSS career journeys, their community advocacy work and passions, and factors that have supported their advancement in the sector. In addition, two LeadingAge Board Members will explain the purpose of the LoC Network, why the network is important, and the opportunity for LoCs to influence the LTSS sector. Network members will also discuss priorities for the network and proposed programs/events.
All are welcome!
