Check out the lineup of special programs and events powered by the LeadingAge Leaders of Color Network during this year’s LeadingAge Annual Meeting.
The LeadingAge Leaders of Color Network will present several special events at the 2024 LeadingAge Annual Meeting, which takes place October 27-30, 2024, at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN. The events are designed to offer attendees unique opportunities to connect, learn, and grow.
The Leaders of Color Network supports the professional growth and career advancement of emerging, mid-level, and senior leaders of color in aging services. Open to all LeadingAge provider members, including allies, the network fosters year-round engagement and provides a supportive community where diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of leadership development.
The network will sponsor two events open to all LeadingAge members attending the Annual Meeting and three additional events open only to Leaders of Color Network members.

Leaders of Color Network Annual Meeting
Monday, October 28, 3-4 p.m.
Join the Leaders of Color Network for an insightful meeting that will focus on the past year’s accomplishments and upcoming initiatives to promote diverse and inclusive leadership in the aging services field.
EVENTS FOR LEADERS OF COLOR NETWORK MEMBERS
Leaders of Color Network Mentorship Workshop
Saturday, October 26, 3-4:30 p.m.
LeadingAge will launch a six-month mentorship series at the Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting workshop will provide valuable resources, education, and tools for mentors and mentees tailored specifically for Leaders of Color Network members. The series will continue with two virtual webinars in the coming months and an in-person program wrap-up for all participants at the LeadingAge Leadership Summit, to be held April 7-9, 2025, in Washington, DC. Even if you can’t attend the Annual Meeting in person, you can still participate in this mentorship experience.
Nzinga Shaw will lead the workshop series. Shaw, a diversity, equity, and inclusion expert with extensive experience with mentorship programs, offered a presentation about three kinds of mentorship at the LeadingAge Leadership Summit in April 2024.

Leaders of Color Network: Meet and Greet with Cynt Marshall
Tuesday, October 29, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Join us for a meet and greet with Annual Meeting keynote speaker Cynt Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team. The session will feature a facilitated Q&A about Marshall’s remarkable journey and the profound impact of transformative leadership in the aging services field. This interactive discussion will ignite your passion and empower you to drive positive change. Limited capacity and reservation required.
Leaders of Color Network Reception
Tuesday, October 29, 5:30 -7 p.m.
National Museum of African American Music
Network with other Leaders of Color Network members and have exclusive access to the National Museum of African American Music, which is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the many music genres created, influenced, and inspired by African Americans. Limited capacity and reservation required.

Visit the Annual Meeting website to register for the Annual Meeting. When registering for the Annual Meeting, check the box to identify yourself as a member of the Leaders of Color Network. This will allow access to registration for all the Leaders of Color Network events.
