Identifying Competencies for Mid-Level Managers and Frontline Workers
Researchers at the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston worked with the LeadingAge Workforce Cabinet to identify competencies for personal care attendants and middle managers in the field of long-term services and supports (LTSS). The project produced two competency guides to help providers identify the employee skills that are most important to and appropriate for their organizations. The guides also offer direction on how providers can use these competencies to recruit staff, design staff training, and establish criteria for performance evaluations.
