The Equity in Aging Research Fellow will explore financial and health security and equity in the aging population.
The LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston has partnered with the National Council on Aging (NCOA) to create a graduate research position designed to advance research on financial and health security and equity in the aging population.
Molly Wylie, a gerontology doctoral candidate at the University of Massachusetts Boston, is the inaugural Equity in Aging Research Fellow for the 2022-23 academic year. Wylie served as a summer research intern in the Washington, DC office of the LTSS Center in 2020. As Equity in Aging Research Fellow, she will work in the LTSS Center’s Boston office with LTSS Center Co-Director Marc Cohen and LTSS Center Fellow Jane Tavares.
“Too many Americans have grappled with deep disadvantages throughout their lives, putting aging with dignity out of reach,” says Ramsey Alwin, NCOA president and CEO. “Research is one of the many tools that can shine a light on this issue and inform policy solutions.”
