Edward Alan Miller, PhD, is professor of gerontology and public policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and chair of UMass Boston’s Department of Gerontology.
Over the past 25 years, Miller’s work has focused on aging and long-term services and supports research and design, and on analyzing federal, state, and local policies affecting vulnerable populations. He is editor in chief of the Journal of Aging & Social Policy.
Miller received an AB and MPA from Cornell University, and a PhD from the University of Michigan before completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University. He worked at Congressional Research Service as a social policy analyst.
